On August 7, Crystal Palace confirmed the signing of Japan international defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.

8月7日、クリスタル・パレスは日本代表DF冨安健洋の加入を正式に発表した。

The 27-year-old joined as a free agent after a successful pre-season trial with the club.

27歳の冨安は、クラブでのプレシーズントライアルを経て、フリーエージェントとして加入した。

He will wear the number 17 shirt for the Eagles.

イーグルスでの背番号は「17」となる。

"I'm excited to get started," said Tomiyasu.

「プレーするのが楽しみだ」と冨安は語った。

"This club is in a good moment, winning three titles in two seasons.

Club chairman Steve Parish welcomed the signing.

"Takehiro has experience at the highest level of European and international football," he said.

Tomiyasu spent four seasons at Arsenal after joining from Bologna in 2021, making 84 appearances in all competitions.

Persistent knee injuries limited his final two years in north London, and the two sides mutually agreed to end his contract last July.
