セルティック逆転勝ち、74歳オニール監督「昔の日々を思い出した」

Martin O'Neill is 74 years old, and on Thursday night the home crowd took him back in time.

マーティン・オニールは74歳。木曜の夜、ホームの大観衆が彼を過去へと連れ戻した。

"It reminded me of the olden days," the Celtic manager told TNT Sports.

His team had just beaten Besiktas 3-2 at Celtic Park, coming from behind in the Europa League.

Around the hour mark, O'Neill made three changes, bringing on Callum Osmand and Camilo Duran.

"We could have caved in," O'Neill said.

With Celtic playing many games in a short time, he explained his team selection.

"Some players needed a little breather and you can get re-energised from coming on the field."

He also had special words for his match-winner.

It was Celtic's first win in this season's Europa League, at the fourth attempt.

O'Neill knows big European nights well.

オニールはヨーロッパの大舞台をよく知っている。

In his first spell at the club, he took Celtic to the 2003 UEFA Cup final in Seville.

1度目の在任期間には、セルティックを2003年のUEFAカップ決勝（セビリア）まで導いた。

"It might just give us a platform to charge on," he said.
